Community Prepares New Tucson School for the Blind Ahead of August Opening

The Tucson community is rallying to support the opening of the new Tucson School for the Blind, set to welcome students in early August. Volunteers joined teachers to clean, organize, and unpack classrooms in the 4,000-square-foot facility. Director Kate Scally Howell, formerly the music director at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, has been working diligently to prepare the space after receiving the keys in mid-June.
