On October 15, 2026, seven students from Arlington Independent School District participated in White Cane Safety Day by practicing mobility skills and exploring downtown Arlington. The annual observance recognizes the white cane as a vital tool for independence and safe mobility for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The event provided students with an opportunity to apply their skills in real-world settings, connect with their community, and build confidence in navigating their surroundings.
