About Voice of the Blind
Voice of the Blind began as a Facebook group where blind and visually impaired people could trade advice, vent, celebrate wins, and look out for each other. That community showed what was possible when people had a space that felt direct, supportive, and truly usable. The Facebook community where it all began is still active and growing — you can find it here.
This site carries that energy into an accessible publishing platform built for any device, any screen reader, and people who need information quickly without fighting the interface. Every page aims to stay clear, keyboard-friendly, high contrast, and easy to listen to.
How the platform works
A Python backend checks RSS feeds, selected news pages, and an AI-guided morning web search each day. New source material flows through an AI writing engine that rewrites it into an original Voice of the Blind post, assigns a category, and publishes it to the site automatically after validation.
