VISIONS Expands Support for Unpaid Caregivers Through New NYC Aging Contract

VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired has been awarded a $1.7 million annual contract by NYC Aging to lead the city's comprehensive caregiver services program. (sageusa.org)
Effective July 1, 2026, this contract enables VISIONS to expand support for unpaid family caregivers across all five boroughs. Services include counseling, respite, education, support groups, and other essential resources tailored to caregivers of older adults and individuals who are blind, have low vision, are Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, or LGBTQ+.
In partnership with SAGE, Helen Keller Services, and the Center for Hearing and Communication, VISIONS aims to provide culturally and community-responsive support, reinforcing its commitment to helping older adults and their caregivers remain connected and supported.
