Florida Division of Blind Services Celebrates 85 Years of Impact and Future Initiatives

The Florida Department of Education's Division of Blind Services is celebrating its 85th anniversary with a statewide tour themed '85 Years of Impact and a Future Beyond Limits.' The five-city celebration throughout October 2026 will honor over eight decades of empowering Floridians who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and pursue meaningful careers. The tour includes regional celebrations, the grand reopening of the Career, Technology & Training Center, and observance of White Cane Day, bringing together clients, families, employers, partners, and community leaders to recognize past milestones and look toward future initiatives.
