AFB Names 2026 Migel Medal Honorees

The American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) has announced the recipients of the 2026 Migel Medal, the highest honor in the field of blindness. This year's honorees are Kevin Lynch, Dr. Mona Minkara, and Dr. Joel Snyder. AFB President and CEO Eric Bridges highlighted their contributions across various fields, including the workplace, laboratory, and entertainment, emphasizing their role in advancing possibilities for people who are blind or have low vision. Established in 1937 by AFB's first chairman, M.C. Migel, the Migel Medal honors individuals whose dedication and achievements improve the lives of those with visual impairments.
