VISIONS Expands Support for Unpaid Caregivers with New NYC Aging Contract

VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired has been awarded a $1.7 million annual contract by NYC Aging to lead New York City's comprehensive caregiver services program. Effective July 1, 2026, this initiative aims to support unpaid family caregivers across all five boroughs by providing culturally responsive counseling, respite, education, support groups, and other essential services. VISIONS will collaborate with partners like SAGE, Helen Keller Services, and the Center for Hearing and Communication to deliver these services, emphasizing the importance of supporting caregivers in their vital roles.
