Smith-Kettlewell Raises Funds for Foundation Fighting Blindness at VisionWalk 2026

Members of Smith-Kettlewell’s Blindness and Low Vision Support Group participated in the Bay Area VisionWalk 2026, forming Team Smith-Kettlewell Vision SKouts. The team, comprising 15 volunteers from institute staff and the support group, raised approximately $3,000 for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The event, held in Golden Gate Park, attracted about 300 participants and featured booths from various organizations. VisionWalk, organized by the Foundation Fighting Blindness, funds research into treatments and cures for retinal diseases. Since its inception in 2006, the event has expanded to over 35 cities nationwide, raising more than $74 million for research.
