The 20th Annual Run for Sight 5K, presented by Shoreline Vision, took place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Pere Marquette Park along Lake Michigan. This milestone event benefited the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI), an organization dedicated to helping individuals with low vision or blindness thrive in a sighted world. Participants had the option to join a 5K run/walk, a 5K guided run/walk, a 5K hand cycle, or a 1K Deck Dash Kids Run. The event featured various sponsors, including Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation, Corewell Health, and Rhoades McKee, contributing to its success. Proceeds from the event will support ABVI's vision rehabilitation and support services, empowering nearly 1,000 children and adults across Michigan each year. The Run for Sight 5K continues to be a vital community event, promoting awareness and support for the visually impaired community.
