Quincy SuperKids Race Empowers Children with Special Needs

The Quincy SuperKids Race continued its tradition of inclusivity and support for children with special needs on June 19. Held at Bob Mays Park, the event provided an opportunity for children with various disabilities, including visual impairments, to participate in soapbox racing alongside driving buddies who guided them down the track. Since its inception in 2015, the race has attracted numerous participants and hundreds of volunteers, emphasizing community engagement and the importance of inclusive activities. Parents highlighted the event's role in fostering social interaction and adaptability among children with disabilities. The main Quincy Soapbox Derby followed on June 20, starting at 8:00 AM.
