Project Lifesaver Locates Missing Council Bluffs Man with Dementia

Project Lifesaver, a program initiated in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has successfully located a 66-year-old man with dementia who was reported missing. The man was found more than two miles from his home after his family utilized a tracking band provided through the program.

The transmitter band uses individualized radio frequencies to track an individual's exact location. The Council Bluffs Fire Department reported that this is one of 45 individuals they have assisted through Project Lifesaver in the past year. (wowt.com)
