Source: Romania Insider
Romanian startup .lumen has successfully completed a 55-day tour across 41 cities, allowing over 900 participants, aged 7 to 92, to test their AI-powered glasses designed for the blind. These glasses utilize artificial intelligence and directional haptic feedback to guide users in real-time, operating offline without storing or transmitting images. Doru Tudor, coordinator of the .lumen caravan, emphasized the impact of this technology, stating, "Freedom means being able to get to work, school, the shops, or anywhere else you need to go without relying on someone else." The company is now exploring similar programs in other European countries to expand access to this innovative assistive technology. (romania-insider.com)
