Mangoslab's Nemonic Dot braille label printer has been honored as one of Time's Best Inventions of 2026. This innovative device utilizes artificial intelligence to translate typed or spoken inputs into braille labels, eliminating the need for skilled braille typists. Designed to enhance accessibility, the printer produces braille labels on plastic and metal surfaces, aiding individuals with visual impairments in identifying everyday items. The battery-powered, Bluetooth-enabled printer supports over 100 input languages and meets the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards with its 0.6 mm high braille dots. Currently deployed in 17 sites across South Korea, including schools and hospitals, Mangoslab plans to make the Nemonic Dot available to the public in the final quarter of 2026. This recognition underscores the device's potential to significantly improve daily living for the visually impaired community.
