Fischbeck's Taubblindenwerk Hosts Open House and Inaugurates New Facility

The Deutsche Taubblindenwerk in Fischbeck is set to welcome visitors today, June 21, for an open house event and the inauguration of its new building. From 11 AM to 5 PM, attendees can explore the facility located at Pötzer Kirchweg, which now offers residential space for 28 individuals and areas dedicated to daily activities. The event features an inclusive program suitable for all ages, including guided tours of the new complex and workshops showcasing the organization's work with individuals who are deafblind or have dual sensory impairments. A special mobility course will provide insights into the daily experiences of those with hearing and vision loss. Children can enjoy various interactive activities, while live music, a raffle, and refreshments will be available for all guests. The event is free of charge and will be accessible through spoken language, sign language, and tactile communication methods.
