The European Blind Union's Braille Working Group has released a recording for anyone who missed SightCity this May or the June Table Talk session covering braille technology news out of Frankfurt.
According to the Braillists Foundation, the session, called "Table Talk Extra 1: Braille at SightCity," is now available to watch or listen to for those who could not attend the live event.
What the Recording Covers
SightCity is one of the largest assistive technology exhibitions in Europe, held annually in Frankfurt, Germany. It draws manufacturers, developers, and users from across the blindness and low vision community to see the latest in braille displays and related technology.
The Table Talk series from the EBU Braille Working Group brings that exhibition floor experience to a wider audience. This particular session focuses specifically on braille display news and developments that came out of this year's event.
Where to Find It
The recording is hosted on the livingbraille portal, alongside a companion article titled "Expert Table Talk Series on Braille Displays." The Braillists Foundation pointed readers to that portal as the place to catch up on the full conversation.
For braille users who rely on these exhibitions to stay current on new hardware and software, this recording offers a way to catch up on what was shown and discussed at SightCity without having made the trip to Frankfurt.
