Clovernook Center, in collaboration with the Proclaiming Disability Arts (PDA) collective, has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation. This funding will support the production of 'Disability Arts,' a multiformat anthology showcasing writings, illustrations, paintings, and conversations from disabled artists across diverse backgrounds. The anthology aims to be accessible to readers of all physical and cognitive abilities, with plans for multiple print volumes and an innovative online platform. Samuel Foulkes, Director of Braille Production and Accessible Innovation at Clovernook Center, expressed excitement about the partnership and the transformative potential of the resources to be created through this grant.
