ClearWay Introduces Smart Cane with Obstacle Detection for Enhanced Mobility

ClearWay has unveiled a fully integrated smart mobility stick designed to assist visually impaired and elderly users in navigating their environments safely and independently. The device features forward detection to sense obstacles ahead before contact, surface scanning to detect potholes and uneven ground, and a 'Find My Support' function to locate the cane using Apple Find My. In initial trials at Kamla Mehta School for the Blind in Mumbai, participants rated obstacle detection confidence at 9.7 out of 10, with all expressing a desire to continue using ClearWay. The device requires no training and is designed for dependability, focusing on real-world challenges faced by visually impaired individuals.
