95-Year-Old Blind Veteran Drives Again After Giving Up License

Jim Alison, a 95-year-old blind veteran from Abergavenny, experienced the joy of driving again five years after being registered blind and surrendering his license. Participating in a charity event at Llandow Circuit in the Vale of Glamorgan, Jim drove alongside an instructor with dual controls, reaching speeds up to 55 mph. The event, organized by the charity Speed of Sight, aims to provide driving experiences for individuals with disabilities, offering them a sense of freedom and accomplishment.
