BANA Releases New Guidance on Transcribing Math and Science in UEB

The Braille Authority of North America (BANA) has announced the publication of new guidance on transcribing mathematics and science using the Unified English Braille (UEB) code. This update was approved during BANA's face-to-face meeting in May and aims to streamline and clarify the transcription process for educators and transcribers.

According to BANA, this newly published guidance replaces the previous provisional document, offering comprehensive instructions and examples to facilitate accurate transcription of complex mathematical and scientific content. It is available in both PDF and BRF formats, ensuring accessibility for a variety of users.
